Siesta Key Nuptials

We just got back from a fabulous weekend in Siesta Key, Florida. Bryan and Natalie tied the knot on Sunday evening in a beautiful beachside wedding. Before we get to the wedding, let me take you back to Friday...

We got into the Tampa airport Friday night where Ginny & Townes picked us up. Let's just say this was the start of an incredible weekend! They were in a Mini Cooper! If you've ever been inside a Mini, you know why this is funny. It easily fits four people, but four people plus luggage for a long weekend is a different story! Ginny and I rode in the backseat with a double rolling suitcase on the seat between us. Townes was driving and Reed was sitting in the passenger seat with a duffel bag between his legs and a guitar in his lap. What good times! It was squishy, but TONS of fun!

We finally arrived at the duplex's that Bryan and Natalie had rented for us around midnight. The house had a private pool and of course Bryan, Anthony & Paul were already swimming when we got there. We sat out by the pool for hours just talking and catching up. We finally took the party to the beach and it was beautiful!! The weather was perfect the entire weekend. We spent all day Saturday laying out, working on our tans! Saturday night we all got dressed up for the rehearsal dinner and then went to the Sniki Tiki for some more catching up.

Sunday morning we went to brunch and then headed back home to hit the beach for a few hours. Did I mention the weather was perfect? Because it was! Sunny, warm and breezy!

After we spent some time on the beach we went back to the house to get ready for the wedding! Natalie looked beautiful! She had the perfect dress for a beach wedding, soft and flowing. The reception was on a sunset cruise. So much fun! We basically had the whole boat to ourselves with a guy playing the guitar and singing. It was so laid back and tons of fun!! We took A LOT of pictures this weekend and I couldn't decide which pictures to post, but here a few from the wedding and reception:

Well, after the reception we all headed back to the house. The boys got to spend a few last moments with each other before Natalie and Bryan left for their honeymoon suit! Monday morning came very quickly for everyone. Reed and I had a 6 a.m. flight back to Birmingham!

I know this post is SUPER long, but there is one more thing. It isn't possible for us to spend a weekend with a Burgess and not have a story to tell, so here goes. To start it off, Drew left the majority of his clothes for the wedding in his bedroom in NY. Then, as things are winding down Sunday after the reception and people are contemplating going to bed, Drew decides he should check on his flight back to NY because he isn't sure if it is leaving from Tampa or Sarasota. You might think this is the comical part because most people would know which airport they are flying out of, but no, just wait. He pulls up his flights and realizes that his flight is a 6 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.! The Burgess's never let me down when it comes to funny travel stories! That's why I love them! Zoe, are you ready for this?

Well, as you can tell we had a wonderful weekend! We are both exhausted, but nothing a little sleep won't cure!
