While I was waiting at school for a parent conference I decided to check up on our friends' blogs. I stumbled upon the website for Give Grace and thought I should share it with everyone.
Give Grace is an incredible organization started by Matt Dean and other members of Encounter, more specifically, Grace Campus Ministries, from Auburn University. I guess I should give you a little story about why Grace Campus Ministries means so much to us.
My best friend, Kelly, and I started going to Encounter my Junior (maybe Sophmore) year of college and loved every minute of it! I only regret that I didn't find out about it sooner. It was a time of praise and worship and it was incredible to see the power of God at work in so many people. Reed began to go to Encounter with us while he was in graduate school. God did amazing things in our lives on those Thursday nights. Reed and I have never felt more connected and alive than we did while at Encounter. It was these feelings that eventually led to our engagement and yes, it was at Encounter! In front of 1,000 people! Definitely an Encounter I will never forget! Although, I had to go back a few days later and listen to the message from that night. My head was in the clouds the entire night. I mean, I had just gotten engaged to the most incredible, God-fearing man I have ever known! Encounter was what opened the doors for us to a stronger relationship with each other and a more passionate relationship with our Father.
The people of Grace Campus Ministries are doing incredible things all around the world! If there are any Auburn students reading this blog, I strongly encourage you to try it out! Encounter is held Thursday nights @ 8:30 in the Auburn University Student Center.
