new cushions?

here's a little documentary from the camera phone as to what i've seen the last few days...

{another child's birthday, another cookie i can't resist}

have you tried these?  if not, i'll let you in on a little secret, they are phenomenal!  my sweet friend, katie, introduced me and i'm hooked.  i had to send her a picture from the grocery store!

as i pulled in the driveway i looked in the backyard and immediately knew what she had done.  we had lunch on the back porch Sunday after church and forgot to take the outdoor cushions inside.  like i've said before, nothing is safe in molly's paws.
i wasn't all that sad since i've been wanting new ones, but we won't mention that to reed.

upon further review of the yard i saw my first & only rose -- shredded.  each individual petal laying in the grass.  thankfully, there are several more buds waiting to pop!  i decided to pull the rose bush back through to the outside of the fence.

this she actually did a few weeks ago, but i just got around to taking a picture.
there used to be 5 boxwoods.

now, there are 4 boxwoods and a perfect hole ready for a new plant!

after cleaning up molly's mess in the yard, i finally got around to making dad's banana bread.  y'all, he LOVES this stuff.  i'm pretty sure he buys bananas with the intention of letting them rot so i'll bake him banana bread!  i sent this picture to him while he was on his way to Bible study.  hopefully he didn't drool too much on his notes!

i got a text from him last night,
what time do you want a fresh cup of coffee ready in the morning?

my response?
 i'll be there between 6:30 & 6:45.

i'm a sucker for a good cup of coffee.

and my daddy if we're being honest.

and this is what molly did while i made banana bread.  this is what molly does every time i cook.

{3:15pm school workroom}

i had one thing to do after school today: make 105 copies of my test for tomorrow.  easy enough.  until the copy machine won't copy.  3 paper jams and a teacher who wants to go home later, this is what it looked like!  i gave in and headed upstairs to make the copies.  this one appeared to be working, but wouldn't staple or copy front & back.  lovely.  i took my test & paper and went back to my room.  my kids may or may not be taking a test tomorrow.

i know every teacher reading this is commiserating with me!!

{saw the moon on my way out of school}

when i got home today i went out to check on my flowers.  they're growing quite nicely.
i haven't decided what else i'm going to put with them...

and now, molly is asleep at my feet.  one of these days she'll grow up.  {we hope}

 i meant to put this in the last post.  remember the toy that lasted less than 15 minutes?  this is the only proof we have it ever existed.  i was so excited when i bought it.  it was a cute, colorful caterpillar.  each of those little legs was quickly ripped from it's sweet little body.  then the left antennae.  then the right...
