april fool's day

reed and i have differing views about this little holiday {not sure what else to call it}.

for reed it's the light at the end of the tunnel.  it means there are 2 weeks left until he gets his life back.

for me i dread it.  you see, i teach elementary school.  and trust me when i say there is no shortage of april fool's jokes around here.  and the kids think they are h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s. 

here's a short list of the jokes i heard today:

• my dog died last night -- sounds morbid, but this in one i get just about every year
• {insert absent student's name} moved to tennessee
• give so-and-so a responsibility slip
• the fake injuries {leg, hand, etc.}
• i'm moving to _______

although the majority of the jokes i heard are not original, reed's friend at work was the victim of a pretty good one.  head over to the flurry's blog to see a pretty creative one!  reed hasn't heard who pulled it off, but i'm sure it will come out eventually!
