my sweet grandma b went to be with Jesus today. i knew this day was coming, but i'm not sure you can ever really be prepared. i have gone back and forth in my emotions -- trusting and knowing that she is home with her Father and then selfishly wishing she was still here. i didn't get to see her today, but in a way i am glad. my last memory of grandma is her laughing at my silly husband just being himself. it makes my heart melt to think of her sweet smile shining bright. as my family spent time talking about grandma it became very clear what held her life together -- her Saviour. her bibles were literally falling apart from being read and studied. it convicted me to study more. to study His Word every chance i get. i don't know if i will get to live 94 years like my grandma, but i do know i want to be just as ready now as she was.
our faith in Jesus isn't something that can wait. He is calling us now. He is calling each of us to rest in Him until the time when we will return to our eternal home in Heaven with Him. the Lord has given me a great sense of peace about her death because i know she is with Him. He is keeping her safe.

how joyful are those who fear the Lord --
all who follow His ways!
you will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
how joyful and prosperous you will be!
your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine,
flourishing withing your home.
your children will be like vigorous young olive trees
as they sit around your table.
that is the Lord's blessing
for those who fear Him.
may the Lord continually bless you from Zion.
may you see jerusalem prosper as long as you live.
may you live to enjoy your grandchildren.
may israel have peace!
