God of this city

You're the God of this city

You're the King of these people

You're the Lord of this nation
You are

You're the Light in this darkness

You're the Hope to the hopeless

You're the Peace to the restless
You are

there is no one like our God

for greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done in this city

greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done in this city

there is no one like our God
there is no one like our God

for greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done in this city

greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done here

there is no one like our God
there is no one like our God

greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done in this city

greater things have yet to come
and greater things are still to be done here

{song lyrics by chris tomlin}

well, we are home from nicaragua and i finally feel like i am caught up on sleep.  as you can probably tell from the pictures, we had an incredible week.  lots of kids.  lots of joy.  lots of Jesus.  lots of laughter.

i am so thankful to have had the opportunity to go back and see these children.  this was my 3rd trip to see the same children and they have all grown up so much.  there is one little girl who stole my heart from the beginning.  niyeli.  she's awesome.  she is pictured above with her brother, mauricio.  he takes very good care of her and treats her like a princess!  the day before we left, niyeli and mauricio rode their bike to a neighboring village where we happened to be.  i saw her.  riding with her brother.  sitting side saddle on the bar of a boy's mountain bike.  precious.  a true miss priss.  i didn't get a picture of it, but the image will forever be in my mind.  and heart.  i'll miss that little girl, but look forward to seeing her next year.  another year older.
sweet, sweet niyeli
