reed is finally home from his long weekend away and i am thrilled!  i decided this weekend that i really don't like being home alone.  i spent the majority of my time at my parent's house because like i said, i don't like being home alone!  friday night dad built a fire for mom and i so we spent the entire night outside enjoying the fire.  it's been awhile since i really had nothing to do and it felt great.  saturday, mom took tré to his ice skating lesson and i came to watch.  he is getting so good on the ice and seems to be enjoying it more and more.  he's even better than his sister, just ask him!  he's going to be playing hockey before we know it.  i came home after church on sunday and had thoughts of going to a movie with my parents, but we all decided we'd rather just stay at home and relax.  so that's exactly what i did, i even managed to finish the book i had started a couple weeks ago. 

reed spent the past weekend in atlanta at the youth specialties conference for youth ministers and youth workers.  everytime he called he seemed more and more encouraged about the things to come.  he came back with dvd's for me to watch and a whole lot of ideas to bring back to the youth and to the church as a whole.  his passion for the Lord and His desires were really strengthened this weekend and i can't wait to see how God uses him in the next few months.  i know He has big things in store!  our prayer lately has been that through our actions God will be glorified and that we will be living our lives for His glory.  this is definitely still a work in progress, but we are both learning to trust and depend on God for all our needs -- physical and spiritual.
