One of those weeks...

Have you ever had one of those weeks where nothing is really "wrong", but everything you do just seems to be in order to pass the time. Well, last week was one of those weeks. Nothing was wrong, but I felt like I was just going through the motions as I went through my routine for the week: Sunday: Church & youth Bible study, Monday: Bible study & school, Tuesday: school & Bible study, Wednesday: school, Thursday: school, Friday: school... My weeks are basically the same, as I'm sure it is for most people. Sometimes (most of the time) this routine is a good thing, you always know what to expect. Well, last week, it just felt boring! BUT, the most incredible part of my job is that I have 15 little ones to remind me why I do what I do. When I got to school on Friday one of my students handed me this:Isn't that precious? It made for a wonderful day on Friday and a great weekend! I get a ton of hugs everyday! It's very easy to get wrapped up with the paperwork and such in my job, but this picture was a great reminder to me of why it's worth putting up with. I hung the picture on my window by desk and look at it often for reassurance!

  1. Emily,

I really needed to read your last post today! It is so easy to get wrapped up in the monotony of our days that we forget to see the little blessings along the way. I woke up this morning and found myself counting down the days until our next holiday (we are out Oct. 13). Isn't that awful! I am trying to focus more on each day and the things that make it special.

Those precious kiddos that we teach really do make it worthwhile (even if they can drive us crazy sometimes)!! :)

I hope you have a great week.
