homework

Rachel and I started our 2nd photography class on Monday night.  It started off a little slow because of all the introductions and our teacher wanted to know what kind of camera we each shoot with and what we like to shoot.  This took a while, but it was good because it will help him tailor the class to our interests/needs.  The second half of the class was really good and I think it is going to be just what I was hoping for!  He said after the next class our pictures would never be the same!

Our teacher did give us a homework assignment before we left, YIKES!  I haven't been GIVEN homework in almost 4 years!  I really don't even give that much. I go back and forth on whether I think it is good for kids or not.  (but that's a whole other post).  Our homework is to bring in 6-7 UNEDITED photos we have taken in the last 6 months (and by that, he meant the last week or two).  I am going to be shooting a precious little girls 2 year old portraits on Sunday so hopefully I'll get some good shots I can take with me Monday.  I'll probably be needing some more "models" so if you want to volunteer your children let me know!  The shoot will be free and I'll give you all the pictures on a CD/DVD when we finish!
